• Do not order in exteme cold or hot weather. Do not let packages sit outside or in mailboxes, they will die. For extreme temperatures please consider delaying your order or requesting a hold for pickup with the post office.
• Clown isopods (Armadillidium klugii) are a medium sized (~1/2") isopod have a beautiful red/brown and black pattern with white spots. Useful as a cleanup crew in terrariums, feed for reptiles & amphibians. Count includes adults and juveniles, any "babies" will not count towards the quantity shipped.
• Clown isopods are active but preferably nocturnal. They are often visible on the surface and move quickly but slower than most other larger isopods. Will hide under objects and burrow if given enough substrate. Live 12-18 months.
• Keep at room temperature or slightly warmer. Prefer high humidity (60%+) with substrate with a moisture gradient. Mist container 1-2 times a week and keep container ventilated.
• Feed on decaying organic matter. May be fed to reptiles or amphibians. For supplemental feeding use fresh vegetables or a high protein food such as fish pellets or Repashy foods.
